**** OcUK is recruiting - Buyers/Product Specialists ****

Not to mention all of the politics of supply and demand, such as buying from Supplier A who is at war with Supplier B but you need to buy from them both, so you don't want them to find out you buy from them both.

no no no

you got it all wrong,

you tell supplier A he isn't cutting the mustered with those sort of prices and supplier B is going to get the contract. you then tell supplier B that lead time is just not going to do it for me and I'm going with supplier A, can get a sample on your deck before lunch, and the rest in 24Hr's. you then throw it a bit of supplier C and D and you just sit back and wait for the to give you a better offer.

Thats how you get a good deal. ;):p

That’s the sort of thing I do now (For my own business).

Bust of luck finding someone it’s not going to be the easiest job but can be quite rewarding when you get it right.

We need a 'The Apprentice' style competition, the winner gets the job.

Just give each MoH/Caporegime/Capodecina/Wise Guy or whoever is interested £1000 to spend at a supplier and have whatever they buy sent to OCuk. The winner is the one whose decision turns the highest profit.

I would buy lots of little things, the chance for proift is better on smaller items

Ofc, for a specialised area as PC markets, the large pricey stuff sells very well too.

But for a bang for buck profit I truely believe for all intense purposes lots of items could make more monies!
