Tonight I was at work at Tesco, on trolleys (dont worry its student work:)) and a teenager (18ish?) walks backwards into a row of trolleys, therefore technically he is at fault but usually I just say sorry anyway. Before I can say anything hes saying *** this *** that who the *** do I think I am he will knock my ****ing head off. Which I think is totoally inappropriate, as I am never rude back as then I can get in the crap.

Another customer reports to the security gaurd that some random is being abusive and threatening outside. The store manager finds the individual in the store and I am told he is to apologise (he should have been chucked out according to some other security gaurd). He leaves after doing his shopping and gets in his mums car, who pulls up next to me in the carpark and gives me similar abuse to he did before. The abusive individual is sat in the back of the car with a smirk on his face like a smug 10year old whos got his mum wrapped round his finger (you know the type).

This youth can only be described as the perfect modern thug, complete with baby of course. What makes this very small minority think they act and say as they please?

Ignore it mate, they have no prospects in life and most likely have AIDS.

Thats what I thought. With one look (he had a jumper on with varying shades of blue in horizontal stripes...henry lloyd??) shaved head and hoop earing. I know stereotyping is wrong but he fits the image of the chav in every possible way I can think. And big lol at the aids bit.

Its a very common occurane in the UK, I was going shopping at Somerfiled at 7pm and the car park was empty but some "youths" thinks it ok to kick a football on there so I come out and start to drive off the car park they keep playing football and the ball comes near the car so I put my footdown and wheel spin it and they soon moved out the way.

When I was the same age I never went up there to play football, we would be on the school tennis courts or in someones house on Mario kart 64.

Lack of discipline, its like thes kids have something to prove at such a young age and it always ends in a loss of life or prison sentence.

And I really do think the media and how kids can get away with things is playing into there hands.

I would never call an elder a name but its the norm these days.

They do because sadly they can get away with it, when i was young i too wouldnt dream of back answering an adult or even verbally abusing them. On the occations i did something wrong i either got a good smack off the adult involved or a good telling off from my parents. These days you cant smack them and if you did they would have you for assault and their parents would probably be round your house putting your window out.

Funnily enough I get this regularly at work...

"Who the **** do you think you are? You can't tell me what to do...if your mates weren't here I'd stove your ******* head in.." etc

"Yes..actually I can tell you what to do..."

IMO this all stems from the 'parents not being allowed to smack their children' debate a decade or so ago.

No discipline what so ever.

You sure it wasn't Wayne Rooney with his bit on the side in the car?

Along with lack of discipline in schools or rather the inability of teachers to enforce disipline in a way they used to.

There wasn't much in my school days, I got the majority of moral teachings from my parents.

They weren't hard on me, but they knew when I deserved a smacked rear. ;)

"Charity starts at home", same applies to discipline. You should have a certain amount respect for your parents and know the basics of right and wrong before you even start school full time. Respecting them would usually mean that respectfulness would carry on to other parts of society.

If I misbehaved when I was young I got a good smack round the head.
Imo all young adults need to do national service (even though I am 19 and would mean I had to go) to teach everyone some damn repect and knock the 'chav' out of the chavs.

erm, im 21, but we used to have to play footy on aldi car park, because every field near us got fenced off(school fields) or got trees etc and shrubs planted around/in them(to stop people playing footy on them)..
The ball inevitably can go stray, and if the car park is empty is hardly a nuisance is it..? just because you are all high and mighty in your car and its a car park doesnt mean you can assume they are thugs that are causing trouble..
School tennis courts.. hmm well ours were fenced off along with the fields all those years ago, and staying in playing on our nintendos and segas.. how about some variation?

I don't want these chav's any where near our Armed Forces, I for one wouldn't want to work besides them, and nor would I want them trained with firearms heh.
It needs to go further back than that, and allow schools to discipline them more harshly from an earlier age, that should teach them they can't get away with anything and expect no consequences, that is where the problem lies.

What gets me is what are they going to do when they go for a job? Tell the boss to **** off when he gets told to do something?

As for the mum well she probably a prostitute with HIV who cares.
