Best Tv Card for recording SKY

I could do with a decent TV card aswell, thou in the same boat as you not sure which are good and which are bad, my old one i had a few years back was terrible.

I have also been looking at ways of recording sky onto pc, I was looking at getting Sky HD at some point though and wanted to record in HD so I have been scouting about for a HMDI in card, with little success I have managed to find one by a company called black magic I believe with just HDMI in and i think its low profile (perfect in my case) but the its around £150.

Its the intensity one I was looking at (if you make a bracket im sure it would fit in LP cases)

cant you just use Sky+ to record the programmes and then extract them from the sky box

surely there is software available for getting the recordings off the hd and onto a pc?

That means opening up your sky box taking the hd out putting in in a pc.... a lot of work as well as voiding warranties.

I use one of these http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/PCTV+Tuners/PCTV+Analog_Digital+PVR/PCTV+To+Go+HD+Wireless.htm

With this you can pause, rewind, record and even change the sky channel remotely.
