I remember the double barrel, to this day that weapon is awesome. BFG was also strangely interesting.

King of weird weapons was rise of the triad if you remember that one, splitting rockets and allsorts of weird stuff plus bloody skulls flying at your face for ultimate gore

If you want a laugh look up punt guns on youtube, its like the double barrel only more cannon sized.

IDKFA = All wep+ammo
IDCLIP = walk thru walls
IDCLEV+level number (single numbers with leading zero) = level skip

bit sad but i still remeber them to this day LOL (i didnt just look these up)

doom was one of my 'all-timers' its one of the games that started me off on fps duke was *** too.... DNCORNHOLIO = godlike (still remember that too)

Yes those are all ingrained in my memory... There is one more though, IDSPISPOPD I can't remeber what that did. Would have guessed it was walk hrough walls but as you suggest that was idclip.

Maybe not as hardcore as the shotguns in quake but i dont think the shotty in hl2 has done very nicely... point blank range with both barrels to a combine soldiers head is always satisfying

My favourite melee weapon these days is the scouts bat in tf2 though... great fun circle strafing a heavy beating him to death
