Who uses gloves at a petrol station?

I never used to when i had a petrol car, but now with a diesel i do, i cant believe how people get it all over the handle though, its not rocket science to fill up a car without getting it all over the handle.

I might have to start using them as every diesel pump I use is covered is diesel, I swear some people deliberately soak the pump handles :(

The problem isn't so much that you're aren't stupid enough to cover the handle in diesel, it is more to do with the fact the person before you might not be quite that intelligent ;)

As for using the gloves or not, I can never find the damn things.

Always always use a glove when I fill up, but that's because my car is a diesel and I hate the smell of diesel. It only takes a couple of drops and that's it for hours afterwards.

I even carry a supply of the gloves around with me in case the garage doesn't have any.

When I had a petrol car, no. Never.

Only meant for diesel as unlike petrol diesel does not easily evaporate. But even then on the few occasions I drive a diesel I don't bother.

i work at a petrol station and the amount of people that think diesel belongs on the floor is incredible. Its slippery stuff so it has to be sanded and brushed away, so if I had a diesel I would probably use gloves.
On a side note, its funny when people with diesels go to the HGV pump and complain that either the nozzle doesnt fit or that the diesel is coming out too fast and spilling
