Im looking to upgrade my graphics card which is a Nvidia 7800 GT running on a Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo.

Its been a while since i upgraded, so im out of the loop with what i can and cant fit. The motherboard says it will run Dual x16 PCI-E, so im looking to find out what i can fit from the current Nvidia range.

• Would a 8800 work?
• could i SLI them?
• would i need to update the bios?

thanks for your help.

Hi,

Welcome to the forums.:)

8800 would work
You could SLI them.
A bios update would not go a miss.

Depending on what CPU you have you may find you are cpu limited.

its running on a 20" widescreen so id really like to make use of that in games maybe running at 1680x1050 - my current setup doesnt really allow for that.

It is SLi compat, but it will not be worth it with the cpu limiting it.

You will notice a big difference with buying that gfx card as a singular one though.
