Superbike owners: What are you paying for your insurance?

Dad's friend pays £80 on his R1. He's 43 millions of ncb. Dad pays £50 on his Triumph Speed Triple, wouldn't call that a super bike though.

lol that's some serious mods, I can imagine it packing more punch than just a normal GSF400 lol :p.

I've yet to get it properly dyno'd but I'd imagine it's somewhere around the 85bhp mark. It weighs something like 160kg and I really can't argue with over 500bhp/tonne. It pulls like a beast off the line, more so when the speed cam kicks in but it soon runs out of pace at about 120 :(

i insured my SP1 ('03) with Devimeads. Very competitive, but i forget what i'm paying!

i THINK its around £260, TPFT, kept outside, but in garden.

29, 4 years NCB, riding for 12years

up the V-Twins :D

32 yrs old just got a new quote in Northern Ireland (notoriously high area) for my K5 Gsxr 1000 of 485 TPFT which i didnt think was too bad.

BTW i had a 2004 Mille (old silver and red paint job) which i had nothing but probs with which was about £400 TPFT at the time (2 years ago)

39 with 2 years ncd Aprilia Tuono 1000 06 with all mods declared (lots of mods) £360 FC With not a great postcode and no alarm

Persil

About £400 a year FC at 37 years old with at least 7 years no claims for ZX10R, couldn't believe the bike was one group above my ZX12 :(

None of my mates were ever taxed or insured on 'bikes (and I'm not just talking about youngsters either) I take it this is no longer common practice :o

Pay about £650.00 fully comp inc breakdown cover with NU on :-

06 Buell City X
05 Kawasaki Z750
00 Honda Fireblade
77 Honda CB550

Over 40 now, some are alarmed some not. I traded a bandit 1200 for the Buell last year that doubled the price for some reason. 8 years NCB

I was quoted £150 on a GSRX 600. 28 years old, held license for 1 year and 1 year NCB.

I guess as you start getting older, they figure your reactions are slowing down and you're more likely to stack it.

;)

2002 RSV Mille. Paying about £450 FC with 0 no claims and aged 26 (at time of insurance).

that also included excess protection, legal protection.

£890 on tpft

omg

hopefully this will come down once I pass my test.

hopefully...

edit: sorry didn't read op, its definitely not a superbike durrr

Christ, that's mad! I've known a lot of people owning bikes around me, friends and family and all sorts, never known of it to be that widespread.

Dunno if this counts a 'superbike' because it's a street bike, but it's still a litre bike that makes 130 brake and it's group 15.

£600ish, TPF&T on a 2001 Fazer 1000, garaged. I'm 23, no NCB, passed April last year.

Not really a Superbike (SV650S) but I'm 19 with 2 yrs NCB and paying £310 TPFT including breakdown cover and European cover. Carol Nash ***! Was £450 odd last year with a much bigger excess!
