how does it work

Are the 4 tasks all the same size? If so, why do i get less credits for completing the task quickly?

edit: Those are all your results awaiting other users to finish before points are awarded, the separate units will take different lengths of time and the longer they take the more points you'll claim. The annoying bit comes when someone claims less credit than you and you end up with less than you're asking for - if you click below where it says "Work unit ID, click for details" you will see the status of the other copies of that unit and what credit other people are claiming if they've completed them already.

Once you get a few units with credit granted you'll see how it works

yeh, just looked in the faq, probably should have done that in the first place

One of my credits has already been awarded! So is the work my pc is doing, also being done by other pc's? Just in case i get a slight glitch in the one i find and everyone jumps in joy at aliens, only to find it was a false reading? I presume i answered my own question :rolleyes:

Yes each unit is processed several (I think it's currently 3) times to make sure the results match, if they don't then extra copies are sent out until they do (I think anyway

)
