Hi

About 18 months after getting rid of my 05, im back in a civic type r.

Just bought a 55 cosmic premier, with front fogs, usual spec, for 11,949 from a dealer :D

19,000 miles.

put 2k down as a deposit, and financing the rest at a very reasonable 5.8%

Pictures when i get it.

Well chuffed! its good to be back in something with some go to it.

Cheers
James

Let me get this straight.

You have spent the last 18 months criticising the Type R, criticising people who buy newish cars and extolling the virtues of having an old Volvo and simply not caring.

Then you... finance a Civic Type R

Hold the phone.

Weren't you the one who slagged off CTR's pretty much non stop after you disposed of your first one? Crap build quality blah blah blah?

Any of this ringing a bell?

Yep. i cant deny it. That said, my mates CTR has held up well. I had 2 lemons.

This one is much better.

It had better be for 11 and a half grand for a 3 year old Honda!

It was up for 13.5k on the forecourt but 11,949 on the website, so 11,949 is what ive got it for. Dont think thats too bad from a dealer with warrenty / serviced etc too.

Ooh, that's gonna hurt when you come to sell it on. Hope it has AC at least.

Yep. it has.

In fairness, values of the late EP3 type r's havent dropped at all since I sold mine.

And my comments about interior weren't totally unfounded. The salesman said they have a company called LeatherTec now to sort out the interior issues, because the interior silver finish wearing off is not an uncommon problem.
