Cheltenham Festival 2008 starts tomorrow!

Not a bad selection. Personally, my thoughts are:
1.05: Pomme Tiepy 9/2 although Starzaan at 8/1 is liked
2.20: Voy Por Ustedes 11/4 although Fair Along at 14/1 is an option
2.55: Our Vic 4/1 but almost went with Turko at 7/1
3.30: Blazing Bailey 7/1 with Lough Derg a 25/1 e/w shot
4.40: Mike de Beauchene 8/1 with Russian Trigger an outside bet.
I saw Fair Along race at Exeter in the Haldon Gold Cup in November last year, he was atrocious. 10/11 favourite, beaten by Pablo du Charmil, who since has run some blinding races, hence my tip on him for yesterday.
Quite possibly, but at 14/1 he has a good e/w offering. I honestly cannot see past Voy Por Ustedes but as I cannot recall any favourites winning yet I am not as confident as I would like.
Better than the odds I got for him to be placed - who was it with?

Well, great ride from AP there. He looked oh so easy going round the turn.. was 2/1 when coming to the 4th last!
Stuck a tenner on it after seeing the form clip on the Racing UK channel and glad I did, he was an easy winner.
Gold Medallist. Was 2nd to Tidal Bay, who won on Tuesday, back in December, and at Cheltenham as well. I'd say a place should be on the cards, but I've picked spanners all week.

You've not been that bad. I tend not to watch Channel 4 if I can help it, the Racing UK channel is pretty good. I have opted for Mr Strachan simply because Paul Nicholls hasn't had a winner yet, although Choccy Thornton on Hairy Lemon is tempting me for a punt.
You know whats really annoying?
Other 2 I looked at were Finger Onthe Pulse and The Hairy Lemon.

I have gone for Voy Por Ustedes in the 2.20 but noting your Twisted Magic is a good call. I still fancy Fair Along despite your notes, so have pushed for an e/w shot on that.
I wouldn't be totally put off by my comment on Fair Along. Saintsaire ran in the same ran (I had £20 at 9/2 on the day), and he was LAST. Next race he ran, went and won at 8/1 on a big Saturday meeting, can't remember where though!
I've got my customary accumulator on the go, that starts now and can probably be ended now, and opted for Twisted Magic in that one.
However, I have backed as mentioned above Tamarinbleu to win and backed Fair Along e/w because not sure it had what it takes to win (watch it romp home now).
