My car so far

Lets not get carried away with ourselves shall we Mr Penski? :p

Lets face it, its a planted type R, not the veritable bouncy bags of rust you post on here :p

What I post is of no relevence...Despite the fact that most of them would trounce an ATR ;)

A harness pins you to the seat. If you don't have a rollcage then in a roll or heavy side impact then you are pinned to the seat as the side of the car or roof caves in.

He claims it is for track use...If that is true then he should be using a rollcage with them.

You can have the most planted car in the world and get in trouble pretty damn fast. Being over confident in the car isn't always a good thing.

No-one plans to crash mate :)

You dont like reading what I have put or just skim it , go back over and read what I have put about the 1 car family and I didnt imply it was purely for track use like your implying either as its a daily car at the moment and also there was no comment about the coilovers I replied to , or is that because its not what you wanted to hear . I know poeple that have cars that would trounce your cars you put up but you dont see me jumping on a bandwagon and posting stupid comments like yours do you

It has a small lip spoiler, identical to the one fitted to my car. It is not a huge wing :p

Didnt watch the whole video where neither the 330 or the M5 finishes infront of the ATR did you now :o

No, I didn't. And I honestly cant be bothered to argue about how a 200bhp Accord 'beat' a 400bhp M5 and a 340bhp M3, becuase its just stupid.

You seem to be branding every comment that criticises you as 'a stupid comment' and I am not sure why

Oh yeah cause someone said about the wheel colour and I said ?
The comments about the exhaust I said where stupid ? Nope said about the size of the exit whole and the cover did I not ?

Horsepower isn't everything Foxypoos ;)

I haven't watched the video, but it's not inconceivable that the ATR could have the edge on a short twisty track.

Having said that, if it's a 'best motoring' video I would take the results with a large dose of salt. They seem so inconsistant....

But you can be bothered to try and prove the fact that there slower than I have stated

Please watch the video you will see it doesnt touch the M3

Whereas it is for Honda Accord owners?

M5 has no wing either. It has 400bhp and an Accord would not see which way it went.

Thats lovely. It also weighs about two and half tonnes so explain to me why the downforce generated on an accord type R's spoiler is even required on a car that weighs that much.

Thanks for clarifying that for me, I previously had no idea how a harness worked.

I think you misunderstood him, he will take it on trackdays but its not his track car. Thus he will probably not put a cage in it. Most people I knwo who do the odd trackdays, do not put cages in their daily drivers. Many however put in harnesses.

I don't and won't. This isn't my car and so I don't really care too much. Thus I cant be bothered to argue trivial points any longer.

When Skywalker has saved up for his show cage to complement his harnesses, the world will be a better place.

Should have got Willans/Takata instead tho :(

It didn't even beat the M3, or the Legacy! :)

The video proved the Accord R can keep up with an M3, withing a distance anyways, but on a track such as Tsukuba, its the kind of track where a power difference won't make as much of a difference, short, twisty track.

The video did show 2 things to me:

The dubbing was bad!

Anyone who can drive an M5 like that, in those conditions on that kind of track, is good :)

Gaijin, because a lot of people put harnesses in their car for "occasional" track use doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Also on the track you have a fairly high chance of a smack (might be small, might be big) as you are on the edge all the time.

Not a dig at you or Skywalker, it's something that could kill you/complicate matters a lot in the event of a crash. Something I think people should be aware of when fitting these things!

If you like the tight feeling of a harness try something like cg-lock :)
