as some of you may know my PS3 borked yesterday , I rang up sony to get a replacement delivered , now instead of waiting for them I took it back to the shop.

I rang Sony and cancelled the call etc. But today they still delivered a spanking new PS3 now ,what chances do you think there is of the not noticing ?? and how long would you leave it before you sell/use it ??
 
Shouldn't they have asked to take away your old one? Just wait a few weeks and see what happens.

Did they give you a call reference number? Maybe just ring up saying you'd just like to double check that it was definitely cancelled.

Although of course there's a chance if you do that they may figure out what happened.
 
I would keep it for a few weeks and if Sony don't contact you sell it on. If they do come back to you in the future just say you threw the broken PS3 away as the courier didn't collect it - there's not a lot they can do about it as it would probably be the courier at fault.

Something similar happened to me when I bought my lad an Xbox 360, which is how I ended up getting mine for nowt :D - never said anything on here at the time because of the moral police. ;)

No chance me emailing them, quiet is the best option I think! Offers for a new ps3 in MM please :D
 
My GF's brother got a free Xbox 360.

He bought it in a shop. Got home, and they hadn't inlcuded the memory card. So he went back with his dad and explained, instead of just giving him a memory card, they gave him another 360. Idiots!

He sold that on.

This kind of stuff goes on all the time. My mate's little lad sprayed water on his 32" TV and ruined the display so he called his insurance company who promtly took it away for examination. They dropped of a much nicer new TV and his old one, which when he turned it back on just to check had no problems at all - guess it had dried out :D
 
does no one else think thats a bit dishonest?? i know, its sony and they have tons of money but still.
 
but just beacuse everyone behaves like it, doesnt mean you have too! if you were walking down the street and £50 quid dropped out your wallet and someone else picked it up, and they kept it saying tough luck you shouldnt of dropped it, that would be ok would it? Its a jungle its to be expected??

I used to me really moral and would have informed them and sent it back, however the past few years have made me bitter to my fellow man due to being ripped off and stitched up and fleeced more and more. Like the guy above said, it a dog eat dog world now and im out for all i can get my grubby mitts on :D

Being nice and honest thesedays get you bugger all except being laughed at for being a sucker ( it seems ).
 
A similar thing happened with my 360 wireless steering wheel. needless to say i now have 2 :D had it about 2-3 months and no comeback from m$ :D

It's not very often you get something for nothing in this world, i say keep it and say nothing ;)

Now we're moving the goal posts :o

I found 20 quid on the floor it mine end of. IF I found a wallet with money AND a address then of course I would return it.

I told sony to cancel it they still sent one there **** up my gain hopefully;)
