Prime stable at small setting... but not blend?

I'm a bit confused. I can run my Q6600 at 3.5gig for a whole day running Prime95 small fft's as it says in the Quad Core database and it runs no problems

But set it to the default setting of blend and one of the cores will fail in less than 80 minutes

I don't understand this? Temps go no higher than 62 degrees on all the cores and I've completed hours of Memtest86+ tests on the memory so that would appear happy too.

Any ideas?

Blend, runs small fft's and large fft's. The fail you are getting will be from large fft's, which means a ram problem or not enough voltage on the northbridge. It could also be that your GTL values are set wrong, along with your VTT. Time to do a bit of fine tuning me thinks.

What size of FFT does it fail on?

Self-test 896K passed!

That size, both times now. I've just tried upping the Northbridge volts from the standard 1.25v to 1.3. So far it's gone beyond that point and another 20 minutes worth of number crunching.
