What sort of Mileage is it worthwhile getting a Diesel?

well ill probably end up keeping the mondeo because i'm going to start looking for a new job soon

EDIT: Tom, i've done nothing lol, electricians get vans before apprentices do..

basically, i drive to office everyday, get van, drive to site.

if they take on a new electrician/engineer he gets the van and unless he lives near me i just use my car like i did last time.

If you do that then won't they pay for your fuel?

If not, and it sounds like you're not very happy ("depressed") with doing that many miles a week, then find another job

no no no no

shoulda bought a nice cheap dervy focus mk1 for small change and a tidy original mini for fun :)

or even better a mk1 mondeo derv for 500 quid and then 5k on some ridicoulous weekend toy kitcar sort of idea.

To see the OP boldly do the exact opposite of that which was suggested to him by smarter and more experienced people than him, in such an arrogant fashion, is pretty shocking, Darwinism in action I guess.

just seen looks nice, take it your not bothered about depreciation then West?

Nope, not with my new job :)

Overall I am very pleased with it, pictures as Tom said are up on Focus Owners as well as a link in my sig

VVVVV

glad you like it, i'd of gone for the 3 door myself and a high milage 1.6 tdci to remap it (regardless of milage per year) it's much better then the old gutless petrols

Aye, and as the thread previously stated when it was actually on topic, I dont really do the mileage to warrent a diesel.. but in comparison to the Mini its huge, but it shifts well also.

It's also the outside looks, I think it really looks sharp in the metalic black :)

Interior looks like the one in my van, switches, indicator stalks, gearstick, pretty much all look lifted from there :-/

there all out of the mk3 mondeo aswell all fords share same engiens and switches, i think jaguar use their engines aswell.
