My car so far

Sure do he's my brother, do you know him through the Saxo stuff? I'm off to his in 20 minutes to discuss our trip to the 'ring' for his stag do. :)

Yeah he's a saxo nutcase like me!

Vaguely remember him talking about an accord type R ages ago and curiosity got the better of me!

Tell him to hurry up and get his car done!

His car should be very capable once done, the engine's being properly tuned on an engine dyno too.

I wish Honda parts were as cheap! A race manifold for my engine is £1350 alone! lol

I'm not sure how great a difference having a CG lock makes - doesnt it just lock you against the seat in a similar (albeit not as good but cheaper) fashion? Why is this any less dangerous?

Still exactly the same function as a normal seatbelt, just a tighter lap section.

Seen some good reviews around some forums from people that use them. Try it next time you are out, pull the lap section tighter for a bit, it does feel nicer. Especially when pushing on. It goes slack again tho pretty quickly (Without a cg-lock). I don't have one by the way, just thought it could be a safer alternative.

I have never seen a car with white wheels i liked, you have taken a fairly subtle ( excluding the rear wing ) car and stuck stuff on you should'nt of

i think it looks a really nice car bar the harnesses. :)

but i'm with the crowd of 'cage + harnesses or nothing at all'.

this thread is sadly spoilt by the the OP getting the arse about people ripping the car a bit. if you post on here you should expect comments - good or bad.

I think the white wheels look good with the red, i'm not sure whether i think it looks better with the centre caps or not though.

and I like the exhausts, I don't think they look chav (which surprises me)

Yeah im following his progress closely, if i were keeping mine I'd go down the same route.

Mines roughly the spec his was before he took it all to bits again and its quick enough!

But yeah £100 for a manifold on saxo :D

Im sorry but I get like that when people dont listen and make stupid digs ,

Looks great imo. Where's the spark plug cover gone though?:p

Carbon one on its way

As for the harness as posted by others I dont use it for road use as the original seatbelt is still in place and wearing a harness I think would draw to much unwanted attention

Exhausts look a bit OTT, dont mind the rest though. I'm going to leave any comments aside on the harnesses though, don't want to get set upon ;) :p

I love these threads, you come in looking at a car, then you see a bitch fight and then learner about what spec cars have.

Top thread, keep up the good work. :D

Sorry, but that is complete bull. I would put money on that being on a rather steep hill or on rollers.

Take it from someone who has done a sub 6 launch in a FWD car, it is nothing like that. It is impossible to completely eliminate wheelspin when you are that much on the limit of what is possible with the traction available. In fact, although I dont have a video of me doing it, I do have the images of the road and the effects of doing the launch on it.

These are what I like to call my launch and 2nd gear marks.

You judge a launch by tyre marks left on a particular surface? Interesting theory Sherlock.

Such comments show your lack of experience and knowledge in the fact you expect all FF cars to act the same! If only things were so simplistic. In future if you don't have facts to hand perhaps refrain from commenting?

I can assure you that 0-60 was done in a real environment on a flat road, with timing gear, on a stock car. FACT.

You may ask "why didn't you show the road", that would make what I was doing illegal and I'd be providing the evidence. I've had a ban and enough points to NOT want to incriminate myself with a 'willy waving' video on the net thank you very much.

So unless it's constructive you might be inclined to keep you 'bull' to yourself.

No points for observation there.

Take a look again, notice shadows moving on the dials and fascia? Would that not suggest the cars in motion? Indeed it would.

Just to prove a point for the Internet experts...

Wheel hop created by an uncontrolled release of the clutch (dump); as a result over 7 seconds to hit 60mph. I created that video as an example of how most people would 'launch' their FF cars and to be honest thats how most people would assume an FF to behave.
