Nice places to enjoy driving (UK)

Hiya all, having brought a Fiesta ST I'm looking to go some good places for drives. Like nice sweeping country lanes or whatever. Somewhere to take good pictures of both Car and the Views.

Live in Southeast so at the moment i need places around here. I am looking to do a road trip to North Wales soon but don't want to be doing so many miles straight away.

I know down here you ain't going to get anything like the stelvio pass, the snake pass or Evo triangle etc but this is basically what I'm looking for, just a bit closer. Within 100miles of Romford really.




Of coarse the thread is open too ALL ideas around the UK for future great drives.

So I'm basically creating this thread for peoples favorite roads :)
 
in your nrck of the woods i'd say you should be heading to kent - some great roads down that way (great views too) cant give you specifics as i'm normally following my satnav during my working day blasts!

Also Lincolnshire - loads of nice roads up that way (not only long straight, but some nice twisties too...)

yeah i was planning on going next week but really it probably aint the best idea for my first few drives in new car to do a 600-700mile trip... Been planning North Wales trip for about a year, was going to go there with my GF in my Fiesta 1.25, But i dont think the idea interested her much... Left me anyway so now i can do what i want lol

Yeah, plan for my Wales trip is to stay overnight somewhere in central Wales, Do North wales for the next day, before staying in Liverpool (or somewhere safer) then drive the peakdistrict as a "detour" on the way home.

Box hill and leaf hill for some spirited driving. Go at night, take sat nav on 2d mode, and watch out for the stacked mondeo.

Been Recommend Box Hill before, i might just do that!

Cant find Leaf Hill, near Leaf Road near Biggin Airport??
 
Lower Burnham Roads!

Smelly farm has a massive stack of tires outside it to stop you crashing into his farm and killing his sheep :D .
 
Sirrel Squirrel is your man here, he's based in Upminster, some of the country roads around there are great. Trust me ;)

yeah I drive them a lot... not all of em so i guess i need to find some new ones. Fen lane is good, as is Dennis Road.

Anything Good near Brentwood? :)

Yeah, The Avenue is good, 2 long corners (left and right) bit of a straight, sharpish left then a LONG straight going down hill - slow down for 2 more tight corners follow it for 100odd yards to a mini roundabout, turn around and do it again :D

EDIT: You've also got the warley hill which is like /\ - :D - Quite literally, hit at 75 and you WILL come off the ground!

looks like one of the mainroads into town unless im looking in the wrong place... how could u do 70 there? lol


well it looks like i aint going out as ive lost my door keys...odd.
