After paying £15 I expected some half decent but it's the most apauling headset I've owned. One sounds in mono has you only have a speaker for your right ear and the sound quality is so bad though it someone should be shot.

The microphone is even worse. Even with my Mic setting on max I have to shout into it to get it to pick up my voice and even whne it does pick up my voice it sounds all muffled and unclear.

Worse Headset ever!!!

It's meant to be mono as its only for voice communication (how are you going to hear the game otherwise? :p), its not designed to be a proper headset.

You have to set it up correctly then, the headset should appear in Windows as a new USB audio device. Depending on what software you use for your voice communication there should be the option to specify that it uses the headset for voice output, then in Windows Sound options in the control panel you need to make sure you set your sound card back as the default output source so that all other sounds come through the speakers still.

It's meant to be for voice chat only, as andshrew said. Ofcourse all sound will come through, doesn't mean it's meant to =p

Been great for me on XBL, can always hear my mates fine, the 'popping/click' noise when turning it off and on is a little annoying though.

It's pretty bloody obvious you only have a speaker for the right ear when you buy it, how on earth were you expecting to get stereo sound??

you get what you pay for, and you pay £10 for the MS brand name..
If you want something better I suggest you pay more.

there no way to configure it with TS/Vent to only output that applications sounds etc? wuda thought they was like =/

Its meant for voice communication only. When using it on the 360, you dont get game sounds/music though it - that's not what its aimed at.

Really? £15 price point isn't where I'd expect high quality

Yes, you!

Exactly £15 is peanuts when you are looking at quality headsets.
