many thanks in advance

Yeah matey,

Backup your itunes folder from within my music and then place it back once you have formatted and re-installed itunes. Make sure it is the same version that it was before.

If that doesnt work, you can simply log in and re-downlaod your music from itunes, but you only have 5 attempts to do so, of which one would have been used when you initially downloaded them.

I'm not sure you have 5 downloads on iTunes. You only get one successful one which is why it warns you to back up your music as soon as you've downloaded it. Have they changed it recently?

You don't get 5 downloads - you only get one. I think people have ocassionally been able to get a second download if they email and ask for it but it's by no means guaranteed.

You can play your songs on up to 5 "activated" computers - but you need to transfer the files between them yourselves. You should keep a backup copy of all of the downloaded files if you want to avoid losing your music.

you can use the back up option in Itunes, I did this yesturday as I'm installing a new
motherboard.
