ForceWare 174.40 updates 9800GTX Performances!

3DMark03 score has jumped up from 39k to 54k.
I also notice that 9800GTX is a super clockable card. It has been clocked to 900/1269(2540)/2250MHz (CORE/RAM/SHADER)
Scary~~

Out of topic, do you guys know where I can get that E3110 Xeon in UK? It's extremely popular in US because it's a server version of E8400.

Any other tests? ... maybe with the original Doom? Duke Nuken 3D? Quake 1?

Yes, I'm wondering why as well. There's no 3DM06/05 scores updated. But I think the 9800GTX would be a big hit now with the latest driver.

Thought you would have a GX2 by now.And m8 no driver is going to make the new gtx card worth getting if you own a GTS or GTX.May be even a GT to.And 3DMO6 would have been nice not to much to shout about with 03.

If OcUK don't sell it then if would be against the rules to tell you where to get them. If you had read the rules you would know this.

Besides its not really difficult, just type E3110 or whatever it is, in Google, and then find it lol

In those pics 174.20 is the worse of the scores, the better scores come from the 174.40 on the right

Come on, i'm not asking you to 'evaluate' the actual scores, only the comparison and improvement! I think it's a good indication for the new driver improvement. There's hope at least.

Anyone tried this on the same 8800 GTS, should work, as afterall its the same card, just hasn't had a number 9 stuck over the first 8 on the cooler, or the box, or had an X stuck over the S, which you could actually do your yourself with a couple of postic notes, instant 9800 GTX for a couple of pence there.

I wish but haven't heard a thing yet. if i had, i'd have shared the screenies and pics with you guys

Luckily, my HD3870X2 samples are coming, yay! 2x HD3870X2, my easter rocks!

Agreed, but i quite like the idea of the extra 8pin power. it makes the card super-overclockable. 900MHz comparing to GTS's 750MHz

regardless the real improvements on higher clock, it's fun and exciting at least.
