As long as they are strong and well made they will do the job, steel toe would be fine. I just wanted some suggestions on decent brands so I would know what to look out for. To be used on building site.
Doc Martens are crap...slippy sole (try walking on ice with docs) that doesn't last long, and the leather cracks (yes I looked after them) Look into some army boots.
I bought an army parkour and pair of trousers a few years ago, the coat is way too big for me (my incompetence ordering) but in a good way because its like a mobile sleeping bag, and the trousers are wind/waterproof. I'm usually left behind when going shooting because they're so warm and element proof I've fallen asleep in a hideout.
For durability army stuff cant be beat, not the most comfortable I imagine though.
check this site out, my mother works at a diary and they buy all their stuff from here - good quality and not too expensive. They have a few shops in some places too, individuals can buy from them too, not just companies.
Well made boots, you want to take a trip to an army surplus store or to Dr Marten.
For well made shoes, I'd go for some Oliver Sweenies [Oliver Sweeny is the designer] or Patrick Cox. For formal work shoes go to Barker's.
Let us know what you go for in the end
