What's the most impressive gig you've played?

I just realised that I'm supporting (and have supported) some quite respected and talented musicians in the coming months. I thought that if I have gigs this cool coming up and I'm 17, imagine what some of the people on here have up their sleeves.

This can be actually playing with, supporting or something like that.

Never supported anyone, I've only ever been a headlining act.

At the same student union in Wrexham 3 times :)

We sucked

All three times

Get's more impressive with every line doesn't it?

We did have a guy on stage playing a nicked Asda shopping trolley and a car wheel with a crowbar though.

Wow, I wish I was there.

We also had a DJ scratching away in the background, kind of an Industrial Hardcore Punk Techno Folk Soundscape thing, with a vibraphone, man my mate Toni was a genius with that thing, he did a 10 minute vibraphone solo iirc.

-edit, go on then, who have you supported? seeing as how you were asking to be asked ;)

Just done the maths..It was 15 years ago:eek:

I play in a jazz band with a vibes player. She's about 80, but golly gosh, she's fantastic. It's such a cool sounding instrument.

You can read me too well. ;) None of them are REALLY famous. But I've supported Gareth Pearson, will be supporting Albert Lee in May, and Don Ross and Andy McKee in October. I'm quite impressed anyway. :p

I bet Tommy Saxondale, sorry - dmpoole - has some good stories to tell :D :D

:D
I watched about 10 mins of that and didn't enjoy it.
I've only just realised it was about me.

My #1 has got to be playing guitar for Chuck Berry.
#2 has got to be playing guitar twice for Showaddywaddy at Jollees nightclub.
#3 playing bass for The Sutherland Bros at Victoria Hall, Hanley
#4 was being treated like a superstar in Clermont Ferrand France 1979 and local students setting up a secret gig at an opera house in front of 1500 people.
#5 was last year playing in front of 2,500 people at an open air gig and having the audience in the palm of my hand.
