China unveils its B-2 stealth bomber copy cat developed from stolen B-2 plans

How do you see a black aircraft at night? Especially when you've had no radar warning from which to scramble interceptors?

Forward Looking Infrared/Active Electronically Scanned Array equipped interceptors could easily track a low-observable bomber of that size... I'm also sure that the Americans fully understand how to track stealth aircraft by now.

i believe the brits can track an f117 but not a b2 the yanks helped us out in the 80s with plans for tracking stealths incase the ussr had some in the pipe line :) which they did and didnt as the planes they did have where to much at the time to build (not the case now)

The JH-7 has a rubbish engine which restricts its payload, other than that it seems a fairly average aircraft. As for the stealth bomber, China does vast numbers much better (still the largest airforce at the moment).

*Apparently, the Royal Navys 20 year old radar system can track stealth bombers.

*this might be bull told to me by an ex radar repair guy.

It's not bull. No aircraft is invisible to radar. But they have to know where to look, which kind of defeats the point somewhat. Newer radar could probably detect them though, but information on that would be classified.

China have the money, the power, technology, the machines and the workers to do this.

It doesnt suprise me one bit tbh

Coming Soon from China Air. Thew new super dooper stealth mack 10 plane. based on realz stolen plans from the 80s. Seriously Lol at that youtube vid. :D

To answer the question about stealth aircraft and radar, from experience when I was working for the Air Traffic Control Systems Group at DERA in the mid-90s, we were more than capable of tracking stealth aircraft flying over much of north west europe, much to the chargrin of them pesky yanks..

From what I've read, stealth aircraft have radar signatures similar to a seagull. However a supersonic seagull is a bit of a giveaway. :p
