Football * Spoilers * we 15th/16th/17th

No. But my point was that Cattermole didn't play a whole game over other players who'd played equally well for 90 minutes.

It would be understandable if it was an early substitution, but it wasn't. Late was the wrong terminology for the substitution, but surely you could understand what I meant. But judging how nit-picky you've been throughout other posts in this thread (and in the past), unsurprising.

Three points is three points, but that was a poor performance.

I just don't understand - if Derby played like that week in week out, they'd be nowhere near the position they are in now. Instead they play to that standard - well organised, dedicated, and resolute - against the one team they're probably the most unlikely to get anything out of.

It sounds like i'm whining, but I just don't get it. Although had our shooting been better, we would have been out of sight by half time.

Even that would be better than some people thought we'd have finished at the start of the season, some idiots even said we'd finish below the N17 lot, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, you've gotta laugh.:D

I know. Some would have you believe it's a 'big 5' don't you know :p.

We were awful again today, completely impotent in the final third. Ade is like a big pin ball machine, every time the ball gets to him it bounces away somewhere. I thought RvP had a bit of a shocker although that was to be expected considering his layoff, it's quite worrying that he was about the same standard as Ade though. 4 draws on the bounce against teams we should be beating is not good enough, i can't see us getting anything out of Man U or Chelsea unless something changes drastically so i think we've just waved goodbye to the prem title.

Agreed, we were simply terrible and with 4 draws in the last 4 games...we can kiss the title goodbye...3 of those draws we should rolled over those teams but yet we cant:(. We are struggling to beat teams that others are finding it easy to beat ie Brum, Wigan and Middlesborough. Seems like we are getting good at last min equalisers though:p. Im glad RVP is back but he did look rusty and Adebayor??..well what can i say, hes been a flop the last few games....shouldnt have cut his hair lol.
I read in the paper fri on my way home from work that Flamini was saying we cant afford to lose/drop points but thats all we seem to be doing these past few games.
I cant see us beating Man Utd or Chelsea tbh, perhaps a draw but thats just not going to be good enough...so good one Arsenal you just threw away a golden chance of taking the prem title :/.

How we threw away a 5pt lead a few games ago is simply unbelievable.

Arsenal to finish 3rd in the league? :p

Much better than where the Spurs are finishing:p. But as Big Kev said earlier, no one gave us a chance at the start of the season...saying we werent going to finish anywhere near the top....in fact i recollect quite a few Spurs fans saying that they will be in the CL next yr rather than Arsenal:p....so regardless if we win the prem title, i think we have done pretty damn good for a squad that really used to rely on Henry for the bulk of our goals.

I'm still not ruling out Arsenal but I think their recent results were on the cards after Gallas threw a strop against Birmingham. That reaction told many people that they were feeling the heat. I could never forgive him for that childish behaviour if I supported Arsenal and what baffled me more was that Wenger seemingly did nothing to discourage it.

i think the crunch match is the 13th april Man Utd vs Arsenal match tbh.

Ive been messing around with the bbc predictor and if man utd dont beat em in most outcomes ive generated they dont win the league...
I'm not actually sure who i want to win... liverpool probably but that dream died round about late jan.

From a purist perspective i suppose Arsenal. Just coz at times the way they play really embodies "the beautiful game"

In what way?

If you look at the stats, you could argue that a lot of their play is pointless and unproductive and its one of the reasons why they have dropped 8 points in the last 4 games.

Cesc Fabregas from Sky Sports News...

2The Spanish play maker feels Taylor intentionally went out to harm Eduardo, although he concedes that unless he admits his guilt he will never be handed a lengthy punishment."

Cesc Fabregas said:
"Of course I blame him," he stated. "He did it and he knows why he did it.

"Of course he is not going to say he did it on purpose, he will never say that.

Why does this keep getting brought back up again....pathetic.

Fulham currently beating Everton with a few minutes to go and Koumas has been sent off for Wigan after only 5 minutes.

Edit: Played Fulham, unlucky Everton :(
