What would you recommend? Spec in sig.

Must have ICH9R controller, get my Q6600 to 3.6GHz and over no sweat on water, decent manufacturers website. I have 5xSATA drives and one SATA DVDRW drive to connect to it. Not bothered about on board sound.

Wanting to upgrade as my board just doesn't seem to be "stable" with any overclock, in fact it's annoying the **** out of me. I know it's the board as I had the same setup with a 680i and didn't have a single issue.

I like the look of that. I don't really want to be spending £130 on a motherboard though. Don't want another GB tbh. I've had ASUS before and that was fine, never had an Abit though.

The Abit IP35 Pro works fine for me, though the PWM does run warm.
Maybe as I'm using a cooler (Thermalright Ultima-90i) that doesn't blow air down onto the board.
If your watercooled, a small fan could sort that.

My PWM..

Asus P5E would do the job. 6x sata ports and got my old Q6600 to 3.8Ghz. Highest fsb i have had out of mine so far is 520Mhz with a E8500. Cracking board now that we have some decent bios revisions. Can be had for £120 too.

Thanks mate, looks like I've found my replacement. Now to find the cash!
