spec me some upholstery (sp?) cleaner

I need some decent cleaner for my CTR seats. Noticed a water stain on one of the seats (maybe from my gym bottle) and need something to lift the dirty mark off without leaving worse marks or even worse, taking the colour out of the seats.

not too fussed about cost, but please dont suggest bottles of rediculously priced stuff.

Ambersil Auto Groom stuff seems very good, best i've used anyways, the carplan one (i think) with the brush ontop is pants.

I use Megs all purpose cleaner, i buy it in a 5 litre tub,and you just mix it up with varying strengths, for your type of stain.

Great stuff imo, and best of all its only £12!

Over on Briskoda forums, VRs owners rave on about a product called 'shout' it's only something like a quid from supermarkets.
Bearing in mind the Mk1 VRs has a mostly white interior, us VRs owners have to prehaps clean ours more than most.

This is not a personal recomendation however so dont blame me if it takes the colour out your seats. I havn't tried it yet (but i do have some, ready for the kids making stains

)

Buy a george, you can use it inside to clean and hoover carpets (the house I mean) as well as your car, and its very reasonable at £150 odd.

Another Vote for Megs APC, about 4 litres for 12 squid and it needs to be water down at least 4:1 and for light work 10:1.

Sprays on as a foam, leave for 20 seconds then rub in / wipe off with a damp cloth

isn't that a hoover? How will that remove stains?

I have always used 1001 carpet cleaner in the car, used sparingly, it brings them up great... you do need a vacuum that can suck up water though.

It is a hoover, but its also a carpet washer dealie, it sprays fluid and then sucks it out.
