The new owner came to pick up the Fiat today.

Its a sad thing to say goodbye to a car you love so much. :(

I suppose its now time to update the sig.

What have you bought to replace it? if anything :)

Sorry to hear though, it's sad seeing an old car go! :(

What is it's replacement? Or are you going bike only for a bit?

Ninja Edit: seems I can read Phate's mind. Or maybe he controls me?

It wasn't sold to a man called Jeremy was it? I've heard that Mr. Clarkson has one for a challenge in the new series...

Sadly not no. Although knowing him it would end up with a group A spec turbo, and the car would explode.

Na, it was to a guy near me. Funny, the guy tried to flag me down the day I put the for sale signs on the car. I thought it was some nutcase with a spate of road rage so I sped off. :p

Then the day I put it on ebay, he bid up to the reserve price. And that was it.

Surely it would be a man from the beeb? As was with the Dolly.

My neighbour had one of these, then followed it up with a GTV V6.

Yup unfortunately so, the Dolly was sold to someone working for the BBC pretending to just want it for themselves. No mention of being used on Top Gear. Amazing too how they made the condition worse for the Dolly ready for the show.

You let that go pretty cheap didn't you? I quite fancy one of these for a while.
Depressingly cheap. But thats the way it goes I guess.

My insurance was due on the 17th, so it had to go. I guess thats how it goes on ebay. No one else bid for it, so it went for the reserve.

I must admit, I was quite surprised no one else bid on it. Its a hell of a lot of car for £1.5k.

Should have set the reserve at £3k.

:( What condition was it in if you don't mind me asking?

Cambelts done recently, wishbones, mileage, leather? Did you try selling it on the owners club?

All major jobs done. The manifold had a crack and the AC wasn't working.

Anyhow, its too late to look back now. Its been advertised for a while, and there were no takers, and no one else bid for it. So thats it. Its gone.

Yea, I had a problem selling mine, it was mint but had a few missing service history bits where it had been owned by the owner of a garage I take most of my business to, as such, the new owner got a completely mint car for £3.5ishk

Really love the Fiat Coupe, I doubt there will be any good ones left for sensible money by the time I can afford.

I'm supprised Fiat stopped making it, was it due to EU legislation?
