GT5: Prologue Europe Extra Features

Iam sorry but is there a question in here? iam knackered waiting for the f1 and i just cant see it. the only thing i can say is that my version of the game is certainly not plagued by jaggies, my screen is only 720p but it is stunningly smooth.

Basically your original post is saying the game runs in 720p with 4AA but also can be set to 1280x1080 with 2AA. If thats the case the game would actually look better in 720p than 1080p output.

I was trying to show how it:
1: Didnt make sense
2: Didnt add up in terms of pixel pushing-AA sacrafice
3: Frame rate would be effected and only complicates the design of the game

You ARE seriously mistaken if you think this game does not have MAJOR jaggies issues obviously you have poor vision. Shall i recommend you try incar view and pay attention to the shadows for instance....

I asked this in another thread but didn't get an answer.
Are they still horrible screeching noises every time you go round a corner?

All the sounds are new in GT5, well actually GT5 carries nothing, zero over from GT4 according to the developers.

However yes their still is tyre squeel but its less annoying now.
Handling is greatly improved for the other person that asked.

I didn't mention either console did I? The guy said GT games were bland/boring and I said Forza 2 was. Seeing as the two games have been compared screen for screen, same cars at the same parts, at the same circuit, over and over and over again in threads, in loads of different forums, then my simple comparison was a just one. You're the only one in this thread who mentioned 'console' and 'war'. Stop being such a drama queen, if everything I say offends you so much put me on ignore already.

Apparently I'm the only one who mentioned 'console' and 'war', and you call me a drama queen, yet you're the one that sparked off the largely irrelevant Forza comparision, clearly trying to bait a pointless and redundant argument.

A just comparision my arse - there's a difference between a reasonable well-meaning discussion comparing the merits of two different games in the same genre, and just being a flat out troll straight out of nowhere. You appear to have difficulty deciding which is which.

I appeared to have touched a nerve to get such a lengthy response though. Defensive, much? (thanks for the ignore suggestion btw, I followed it through - welcome to the idiot club, I'm sure Needles can give you some company)

So glad all these new features have been announced. Sold my jap copy about two weeks ago for full price, so should be able to get myself a nice shiny new Uk copy. Even thinking about possibly getting a G25 to go with it all.

Has the F1 car been officially confirmed yet?

I think so :D

Anyway any of you guys play the Pal version at the live show over the weekend? I did and it seemed to look and run better than the JPN version ive got, noticed that there is now an option for a racing line ( blue dotted line) around the tracks. I saw the tuning part but never messed about with it, to many Sony ninjas about! It just seemed a bit more polished than the previous version, that may be down to the screen they had, but im sure it just looked a lil bit better and noticed no tearing round london track.

Wouldnt be surprised if it did run a littlesmoother we dont know what build or state the Japenese version was at compared to this latest build.

Going to be an awesome game...

"Full carbon-body of GT40LM looks so evil in HD, while front-window sticker makes in-car view so damn claustrophobic - something we've been waiting for too-long I guess. Also, since it's basically a first race-car ever available in new Professional physics, I find it both very impressive and demanding to drive. It literally eats pavement on straights (and sounds as just as great), while you have to be very careful through turns, especially in first laps when tires are still cold. I find it as an extraordinary driving experience, more sophisticated than any similar seen so far on consoles (Forza 2 included), because it doesn't feel like you're driving something glued to the track (which is always the case with racing-classes so far). It's a great step forward for simulation aspects of the series and right now I just can't wait for some true-breed race-cars of GT5"
