GT5: Prologue Europe Extra Features

Hope it's not totally arcady. :(

From what I've seen, it's down to the player to decide. The default settings on the dem have maxed out traction control and ASM enabled. The result is that yes you can can drive everywhere foot to the boards, yawn.
Disable and turnoff both results in a seriously lairy set of cars, that actually feel like real cars, completely ace.
Infact it's the first time I've used a computer game that feels like I was driving a real road car.

But bar changing Japanese for English, there aren't really enough changes worthy of 4 months of delay?
Should in-game chat not have been thought of for the online section as well as private friend servers when they made it online in the first place?

Firstly have you ANY idea of the work required with regards licenscing and logistics involved for different countries? Since when was a European release only for just English?

Regards ingame chat and private races it will be coming in an update, its already been confirmed. Do remember "Polyphony Digital Inc. is a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., and is a software developer entity" The company employs over 100 people and this game has been in development since 2005. Approx 40 are involved in car modelling with a car taking reportedly 180 days to complete. The creater even announced prior to Christmas that 320,000 man hours had been spent on the game to that stage. As such the game contains ZERO from GT4 everything is new and we all know PD do not and never have rushed any of their games. Personally i think what the PAL release offers over the JAP release is fantastic and particulary for a budget priced title.

Sony will be pushing this game very heavily with Home as announced many times in the past.

Expected Share & Play Features Are:
Replay Swapping
Photo Mode Screenshots
Car Setups
Voice Chat
Private Games
Car Clubs

Hardly dissapointing, but hell yeah i wish they could have added virtual IR cockpit with the PS3 Eye and rearview mirror on PSP (now theirs hoping)

Those screenies are drool worthy.

Went into a local game retailer to preorder a copy today (yes, im slow :p) cause i thought it was released early next week, but on the way to the store i heard on the radio that it was being released Thursday in Aus, so i was like

Anyway, because it's so close to release, they wouldnt let me preorder, so i'll be on their doorstep when they open Thursday morning with brass knuckles ready to fight my way thru the crowd. :D

The guy at the counter told me they already have boxes of copies out the back, but couldn't sell em till Thursday, i told him i wouldn't tell anybody if he would sell me one today, but he gave me a shifty look and said no. :(

With TCM/ACS on I actually get a slower laptime than with them off, they are way too restrictive for my style of driving, the first thing I do is turn them off.
