Hi,

Ok I have an old Vauxhall Carlton J reg and unfortunately there are 2 small cracks in the plastic header on the radiator. Now I tried a bit of DIY as I couldn't find a cheap radiator and a new one is £100+ so thought I would try 2 part epoxy resin. And it did work for a time but the heat has just degraded the epoxy, so I am wondering if any of you know where I can buy some epoxy that has a high temperature resistance?

Use Leak Fix, made by plastic padding. Its excellent stuff and will definatly hold, I had it on mine for years when my mate managed to smash my expansion tank.

Seconf vote for chemical metal. Build it up a bit and £3.99 later it'll be fixed. I know plenty of people who have fixed the actual radiator with it as well.

Aye leak fix is basically the same product, made by the same people. Ive used both and cant tell any difference between them.
