Well I've got a 350z and I'm considerng a 335 to get similar/better performance and more convenience. The Z is a big car that manages to have not much space :/

No doubt you don't see many Z's around, they look good, they go well , sound great. Build quality & interior isn't the best and you have to take into account the dealer network isn't used to them. Expect low 20's or less on the mpg. Tis a nice car to drive - old school muscle style car I guess.

In terms of tuning to get power hikes it's supercharging/turbo charging (you can do intak/exhausts to gain a bit).

Having said all the above I have seen an S5 on the road and I thought it looked the DB's.

Yep, saw one this morning at the ralliart garage near my house. Not loving it tbh.

I would go with the 335i. Can you stretch to an S5 (in white)? I would take that over the 335i. Saw one yesterday and it looks immense. I love them

For the money, it would be the 335i for me. Although a 350z and change would also be tempting.

i'd choose the BMW out of those too. 335D is quick with a remap too, i'd imagine the 335i would be quicker too

A 15k 350z will most likely be a JDM one. It will have the original 276bhp engine. The 06 models got the 296 (300 approx) engine. There are some minor interior revisions. The 07 version has the 309 bhp engine which is something like 80% different over the previous engines.

But at £15k yes its a bargain for what you get but the OP wants a new car not a 2nd hand bargain otherwise everyone would be suggesting 911's etc.

Yes I do and im not disputing that the 335 is a fine car but it looks like poo in my opinion and the m3 or m5 look far superior, the m3 especially.If mileage isnt a factor in your choice then personally I would rule out all diesels as they sound awfull.One of the main reasons I like cars so much is because of the engine note so the diesels woldnt get a second thought, especially when forking out over 30k.For me it would defo be the evo or the 350z purely for the fun factor, thogh the evo would probably tip it for me due to the practicallity it offers.
However if I had 30k to spend on a motor i would go for a used Porsche or even a Skyline gtr.

Maybe consider a bmw when i go grey
