lol - if you dont agree with Fox he bitches that you can't have an opinion because you dont drive a BMW or an Enzo etc. Kinda tiring.
It's not that all, it's just odd when people make statements which are directly contradictory to general concencous. BMW, say what you will about them, are pretty much accepted to make the 'drivers cars' of the market they target. Disputing that becuase you dont like them would be like me saying that Saxo's don't handle - I hate Saxo's, but I'd not make a comment so plainly wrong out of prejudice thats all
I also dislike Toyotas, but you'll never see me say, for example, that they are unreliable, becuase it just isnt true.
As for the car the person drives - I just find it really interesting that the level of scorn poured on expensive metal appears inversely proportional to the car driven. You just don't see people in properly nice cars making uninformed comments about things they happen to dislike. And before you play the snob card, I'm not including myself in the 'properly nice cars' bracket as I drive a car that cost less than a new Corsa.
It's like the whole Boxster thing - post 'What do you think of Boxsters' on any forum on the net and 10 people who drive Fiestas will tell you they are crap and poor mans 911's, whereas 911 drivers, people with SL's, etc etc will tell you they are decent enough roadsters but not to their taste... you have to wonder why?
There are some properly rich people on this forum with car collections I envy and order forms I doubt the rest of us will ever see the like of. Oddly they are never the ones making the bizarre comments. This can't be a co-incidence.. can it?
