Right just got my ps3 today, bought it off a friend with 2 games, the 60gb version which im quite :D, playing around, did abit of surfing the internet and found that some places are selling the new Dual Shock 3 controllers with rumble built in. Now I read somewhere that they will be selling in the summertime, but me just wanted to know if some ppl here have bought these controllers at all? :confused:
 
Yes, I ordered one from HK via the bay of e, took about a week to arrive and I think it was worth the money (£36).

It's slightly heavier than the original and the triggers and sticks are apparently more precise, but I cannot vouch for that.

If you need an extra pad, or want the rumble, go for it.

I wonder when they will announce the DS3 for Europe. America is getting it for GT5 Prologue so why can't we?
 
Yeah, got one. It makes the sixaxis look like a cheap, plastic toy that you could buy off the flea market for 2p. Get one asap, you won't regret it. Huge build quality improvement in every area, not just rumble.
 
Got one, definately wworth the purcahse. The rumble is makes the controller a lot better and the extra weight makes it a lot nicer to use.

yea i got a nice white one ordered from hk, took its time to get here but it got here in the end :D
 
I ordered two DS3's from HK via EBay a few weeks ago - one black and one white.
I think I paid around £30 each for them and they arrived within the week.
Excellent controllers, really worth the money and I'd also say at £30 I doubt they will be any cheaper once they are available in the UK in June/July.

The reason for no sooner DS3 release in Europe is simply demand - they can't make enough of them for all the markets that want them.
 
Yep, I agree with everything said above. I ordered two off the bay, a stormtrooper white one for my lads birthday and a black one for me - excellent controllers and you can definitely feel the difference in build quality.
 
I got mine not too long ago, I paid around £28 delivered from HK. Well worth the money, they just feel a lot nicer due to the extra weight and build quality.
 
same here, got a white one for just under £30, is night and day compared to the original, i almost feel bad handing mates the standard one for 2 player games :p

p.s. get yourself some "real triggers" too cuz they have made the DS3 into the best pad i have ever used! (I know many people dont like the PS pads but i have always been a fan of them and this one bar the (pre-real-triggered) L2 and R2 buttons is damn near perfect :)

Thinking about getting a DS3 from somewhere next week after pay day.

On a side note, does anyone else find that the real triggers sometimes pinch your resting middle finger when you press them? Only happens on my left hand :o
