i fancy some dd3 and as my board only has 2 dd3 slots im looking at a 4gb kit

will this affect xp

will this limit my overclock currently at 3.05 24/7 with 2gb balistix 5300

I very much doubt that it will affect your overclock.

3.15ghz isn't at all high for an E6300.

cheers, i thought xp doesn't detect 4 gb though ?

It'll use around 3.25gb.

No 32-bit OS will detect a full 4GB.

Get 64-bit

Hello stinka, I'm sorry but that isn't quite true. The performance in games whist using Windows Vista is now very similar to that of the performance in Windows XP.

Ah, OK. I did not see the P35 "C" DS3R in the thread title. Initially I did not recognize that you have the board that supports both DDR2 and DDR3.

In general a 2 x 2gb kit should not affect your OC, especially with DDR3.
