New video of "BigDog Quadruped" AT-AT project.

I actually went "aww poor thing" when it got kicked and slipped on the ice.

I think I need a neck-up check-up... I have a strange habit of having empathy for non-living objects

Well it can carry a payload of 150kg, so firearms aren't out of the question.

Some amazing robotics and engineering going into it maintaing it's stability though, absolutely astounded seeing how it coped with the ice - especially when considering the weight it's dealing with!

JOHN CONNOR?

This is going to sound horribly geeky, but I would jump at a chance to see the code running that thing, it must be immense to handle that sort of thing, im guessing they have some sort of movement mode for different types of terrain, but I am probably quite far off the mark there.

Looks like some serious concurrency going on there though, I had enough trouble getting my robots to move around a maze simulation by themselves in an intelligent way, that thing looks almost alive in its movements.

I want one. That is all.

Surely it needs some extra functionality before you want one.. it doesnt do anything at the moment!

Once i can tell it to make cups of tea and it brings my a good cuppa back then i will be satisfied! Before that time NEIN!!!

I could have it walking up and down and it would be good enough for me :)

But I'm sad like that :(
