3870x2 or 8800GTX

8800GTX, never buy a dual gpu based card when single gpu based card will offer you simalar performance for equal price or less, the advantage of not having to use SLI or CF is enough.
 
Save £50 and get 8800GTX or better still save £100 and get a 8800GTS 512mb which is more than enough for 1680x1050 bar crysis, but then no graphics card can really handle it at max settings.
 
ive been offered a trade for the x2 for my gtx. I also dont have an sli board but do have the best crossfire board out at the moment (x38 Maximus) . Also fancy something new so im gonna go and trade lol

Oh well, I hope you enjoy the card but i'm pretty sure within a few days you will be kicking yourself. :p

i was just asking what is best. Decided to trade as i have had more fun with my gtx and want a new card ;)
 
I went from a GTX to an X2 and im pretty happy with it, it isnt a huge upgrade but it was definitaly worth it for the price I payed. If you can swap a GTX for an X2 I'd definitaly go for it.

yeh thats what i thought. also looking at gtxs in sli they dont score that much more in fps. ill let you guys no the out come ;)
