Last Thursday I bought a new camera lense off a competitor.

His feedback was ok, 94%. Now I sent him a email last Thursday asking when it would be delivered and by what service etc etc. (The Dispatch estimate was:7 Mar 2008)

But I never got a reply, so on Monday I sent another email but again to no avail. The delivery estimate was:10 Mar 2008 - 21 Mar 2008. I know its probably me being paranoid. But I haven't got any email from a competitor or the Seller about it being shipped or anything else.

So I've had no contact from the seller or the competitor on where my product is. I know I have another 2 weeks or so until the estimate is up. But i just want piece of mind really. Should I be worried? Should I contact the competitor directly?

If it makes any difference the total cost was £93.50

Nah dont be worried at all, especially with another 2 weeks, you know internet sites always near the deadline ;).

give them a call to re assure yourself.

I've never had a competitor miss an estimated date, and I've ordered a lot of products from them and their private sellers. I certainly wouldn't worry, nor would I be bothered with making a call just for peace of mind - that's why I internet shop... so I don't have to call.

Just a little thread bump-age.

I emailed the seller again last night, and he got back to me this morning. He said he was on holiday and is sorry he hasnt sent my lense out sooner.

I emailed him back to confirm the details and he said he would post it RMSD.

WooT \o/ I thought i was being scammed.

I've had the same recently. People do have lifes remember and are busy some times. I was ill for afew days last week and someone nearly commited suicide as I sent an item out late ;) Well...he was pretty upset as thought they were getting scammed.

Would have been nice of the seller to inform you, maybe just briefly that they may be a delay in sending due to this holiday, though suppose the wide window of delivery would sort of cover it.

Subliminal message:

Dont use COMPETITORS! :D

But hey, I'm sure you're just overly excited about your new competitor product so just sit tight and wait. If no reply after 12[working] days then call up and give em hell son!

edit: can a mod make the word competitor when used in my post yellow too pleeeeease?

yay thanks never knew how to do that before :)
