GT5: Prologue Europe Extra Features

Sorry for my post if its been talked about earlier, but i will be getting this (like everyone) but i need to know if i should buy it from a shop or d/l it from the PSN 'IF' i can do this. Also is it worth me pre ordering it if the shop buy is the one to do?

What do you recommend i do?

I tried the dem at home for the first time last night.
The graphics are pretty ace, but I have to say the thing that impressed me most was the physics. Having played GT4 for quite a while, I'd got used to the fact that it was and felt like a game. On the GT5 demo, I disabled ASM and pushed traction control to zero. The MX5 I then tried really did feel like my old one, which is quite awesome. I've never ever come across a driving sim before that really did feel like a genuine car. IMO GT4 never managed it.
So hats off to those clever boys working on GT5, simply awesome.

Have you not tried games like GTR? That's a simulation :p.

It's out a day earlier on PSN and you should be able to share it with 4 other people.

The only other game that has been released on PSN & blu-ray (Warhawk) cannot be shared. So I would advise against touting this as a positive until we know for sure.

I generally get my blu-ray based games a day before release anyway.

Sounds like more fun than using F1 cars or Ferrari's IMO.
Yes but when you get dipshits who can't drive fast cars, they all end up crashing, going slow or spinning out all over the place. The field opens up and it's crap. Atleast with Minis people should be able to keep them on the road for some bumper to bumper action.

Tekken 5.

No. Tekken 5 DR is PSn download only.

Both GT5:P (Japan) and Warhawk (All countries) are available on PSN and BD.

Warhawk was not sharebale, but GT5P Japan was/is.

To me the main benefit is no disc is needed in the drive and I can play the game whenever without changing discs. Obvious drawback is you can't sell them. but then online you can get the disc version for 17.99 whereas you can't get any discounts on the fixed PSN price of 24.99. But if it is shareable and you share with just 1 user you have halved your cost!

Swings and Roundabouts.

Missed that part :p.
Okay, how about Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (JAP)?

Could you share that one ? if you could then it would be interesting to see if you can share the other regional downloads. All I'm saying is that sharing this when it comes out on PSN it not a given.

The ONLY non shareable game to date has been Warhawk. I have content on HK, JAP, USA, UK store that I have shared with people.

Ferrari f40 picture looks a bit meh tbh, characters look bland and the car looks a bit cross cartoony/real. Meh. I always thought gran turismo was a bit boring, played gt 1,2,3 and 4 and got uber bored about half way through every time.
I've heard this a lot, i think people need to understand that Gran Turismo isnt a game in traditional sense, its a simulation for car enthusiasts. If you dont like cars that much, then you probably wont like GT that much.

I dont know any GT players who love cars that have gotten bored of any of the GT games

3) Will someone who buys the UK downlaodable version share it with me? (I bought the Japan downloadable version already, and won't get the UK one unless it is free (having the Japan one the Euro one does not add much extra)

nokkonwud
I'd also like to be shared with if anyone is offering

Check your trust mailboxes :)

I see they still have THE most annoying point of the GT series in the game. TYRE SQUEAL. It's just the wrong type of noise and totally unnecessary half the time. Ruins the sound of the cars.

Sort out the cause for the amount of understeer, squeal goes away :).

PS give you a hint Type R driver :D

Advanced players do exactly what you say, the whole point of the wheel spin sound is to NOT to exceed but TRY to stick within the limits of the cars/tyres grip.
Its also the secret of fast laptimes
