Sorry, I know this screen is mentioned and recommended in a lot of threads but I have one specific question.

I'm looking for a 22" and thought I would probably go for this, but I'm worried about the comment on the BeHardware review that was linked elsewhere here, specifically the bit that says:

"our main reservation about this screen is its very narrow viewing angles. Sometimes when looking at the center of the monitor you may get the impression that the upper part of the screen is darker. This isn’t a problem with your vision and on the contrary you have a sharp eye."

Is it really as bad as it sounds? I'll be using it for gaming so viewing angles don't normally bother me as I'm just sat right in front of it, but it sounds pretty bad even then?

It's not awful but definitely noticeable. It depends whether that sort of thing would annoy you.

In terms of gaming it's one of the best 22" screens.

This used to annoy me quite a bit on my vx 922 but I can't say I've really noticed it on my iiyama.

Damn, unfortunately I think this is something that really would annoy me.

Shame, I do want to upgrade from my old 17", but what seems like the best screen is flawed. I'd happily pay a bit more if they'd make it properly. :(
