x2 9600 gt sli, dual screen? does it have problems

Hey considering buying 2 9600 gt's.

But I have my pc outs to a tv and a monitor. With my last pc I couldnt get the TV to be 1080p and then monitor to work at the same time, hoping with a new monitor and graphic card it can be done.

But I heard with sli 2 screens at the same time is a problem, and only uses 1 card per screen. I was hoping to get both cards to work so I can the best specs for crysis on my tv.
Is there any problems for 2 9600 gt's? and if there is there any ways to fix it?

Should I go for x2 9600 gt's or x2 8800 gts's?

With SLI you can only use 1 screen. (As far as i am aware, unless that has changed).

And if you are going to buy 2x9600's / 2x 8800 GTS's, why not just get 1 8800GTX

Pretty much sucks, I can use 2 screens on my 7800 ultra. and cant on the new screens?

Cause ppl were saying go for the 9800gx2, then they said go for x2 8800 gts's and someone also said x2 9600 gt's.
Im thinking x2 8800 gts's must be better then 1 8800 gtx

With SLI you can only use 1 screen.

Correct, CrossfireX can do dual screens, can also mix and match cards, which is another thing crap SLi can't do, about time Nvidia got with the times me thinks.

Not that im aware of unless they fixed it with the release of the 9800GX2 youre limited to a single screen whilst in SLI mode

Nope, only Ati have mastered Dual screens with Crossfire.

SLI'd cards will support upto 4 monitors until you enable SLI in the drivers, then its just the one

Yer pretty much. Disable SLI for 2 screens, then enable it when you want to game on 1 monitor.
For ati though you can use 2+ monitors while still using crossfire.

To do that you have to go into the settings and enable SLI each time you play a game.

This was the reason I returned my second GT the first time I attempted SLI
