Has the sun exploded?

That is the speed of light.

What is the speed of gravitational force? If the sun were suddenly "removed", how fast will the absent gravitational wave travel at?

Not to mention if it really did explode, then you may get those strange quark interactions where you can affect counter particles instantaneously, regardless of distance.

Im just saying the time it would take to see the effects. the light from the sun that we see on Earth is 8 minutes behind what it actually is. No idea on the time it would take to actually 'feel' it :)

We'll never see it explode anyway, eventually when it begins to die it will expand and eventually engulf us before shrinking back and kaboom. It will take it millions of years to die as well, won't be instant :p

I think that physics thread (derailed from something else) was probably the best, although there has been a few evolution classics too :p

Plane on a treadmill surely has to be the epitome of OcUK trying (and often failing) to get scientific although 0.99r=1 seemed to be rather entertaining for me since I didn't bother taking part.
