Hi there,

Wow never knew it would be so hard. Easy enough to find second hand cars around these days but not bikes it seems!

Obviously the main problem is it has to be local but I can't find anything suitable anywhere. Just want a piece of £"$£ bike for dirt cheap.

Tried ebay, free ads (might i add what an awful website they have), gum tree, newspaper.

Anywhere else that's worth looking?

If I could afford it for all the hassle I would just pay the premium and get a crappy apollo jobbie from halfords but unfortunately I can't!

Any other ideas as to where to look?

halfords blue toe rope and a rake head.down to the local canal and lucky dip.

seriously how much you willing too spend ?

£50 tops. Ideally £40. (or less of course)

And that is literally as much money as I've got so I can't splash out any more than that.

Wish I had kept in contact with an old mate from school! He has 2 garages worth of bikes and bits! (granted they where probably stolen).

:( Really really want to buy something and pick it up asap. (That's another thing I don't drive, so I can't go to far! grr)

Waiting to be approved on my local freecycle group - So will probably have to look tomorrow.

Looked on Friday ad. Shame there's no pictures. Found something - Will give them a ring on Monday (bit rude to ring tomorrow I reckon).

Cheers for the advice guys - Very helpful :)

Ahh, managed to borrow a lock of a mate for a few days and used a few quid left in my paypal account of buy a lock of the bay. Obviously really crap but but if someone REALLY wants to nick my bike they will manage it regardless of the lock.

Also surprised at this BMX, mate doesnt know the brand but apparently its quite swish. Ill post up pictures tomorrow for you folk that now what your talking about - Might actually turn out to be a fairly good deal? Not sure - TBH could be a rip off I'm not overlay bothered!
