Cash Machine problem last night in Sheffield

Hello and happy easter

I went to a cash machine last night to withdraw some money (has you do!). For those familiar with Sheffield it was near the train station, just outside a Spar shop. So I inserted my card, typed my pin, selected how much I wanted, Everything was going fine I took my card and then proceeded in waiting for my cash.... waited.... waited.... waited and guess what NOTHING came out!

Now Iam a bit stuck what to do, could anyone offer any sort of advice and reassurance please!

Happened to me a couple of times mate, not sure the reason behind it, however when its happened to me no cash has been debited from my account.

Go to another cash point and get a mini-statement to re-assure yourself

i wondered why i got an extra £30 with my withdrawel

Well I went on my online banking at its been taken out

tell the bank they can always check the machine/video to confirm you got no money

Yes, if you got a statement with it the bank will investigate and refund you the money. happend to me once, was really anoyed because needed the money for more drink at a ball. :mad:

Cash withdrawing is taking a toll on people so hard that they bleed... it's stressful to take money out knowing you'll eventually spend it and become poor thereafter.

cash machine has sensors does it not, doesnt deduct money unless it puts money out, even if the think opens and nothing comes out.

The bank will do a cash check, either remotely or at the machine, we had a complaint a few weeks ago about an Abbey National one doing that..

There shouldnt be a problem aslong as you ring the bank as soon as you can.

Get a statement and have a word with your bank.

I had the same thing happening at Kings Cross in London through the Lloyds ATM machine. I came home and checked my online statement, none taken out though. Thank god.

This happened just a few days back.

I had the same only my bank balance went down by £300, took me 1 week and a visit to the bank whos machine it was and a trip to my own bank to sort it out!!!
