About 5 years ago I was given a bass by one of my dads mates. I got bored and stopped playing it. But I have since grown up and I now know bass doesn't have to be a boring backing track and can be lead (DFA1979). So I'm really enjoying it.

So much that I figured why not do up my bass a little bit. Problem is I can't find any images of this bass on the net. So I don't know what it originally looked like. I think it has been modified a bit as the pickguard isn't on right and looks like a botch job. So it could be something I could probably replace and with a better one.

So here are some images. It's a Hohner (don't laugh).

It came with the nicest fluffy lined case as well. It's growing on me. :)

I remember Hohner from when I was a young lad and they were definitely an instrument you didn't want to be seen with because of the name.
Its obviously a copy of a Fender Precision and probably worth about £30 from a 2nd hand shop.
However, if it plays OK then do it up and use it because the name won't mean anything now except to older musos.

It's a Hohner Jazz bass. The Jazz bass was originally made by Fender. For the money, the older guitars are very good.

So it is. Nice so I should be able to replace the scratchplate with a Fender one. White will look much better :D
