LPG cars and Tax

lpg converted cars almost always are still able to run on petrol. indeed they are normally required to start on it.

so i'm pretty sure the answer is no

so how come factory dual fuel cars get lower tax, they have to use petrol aswell, should the same rules apply to converted cars.

so i'm pretty sure the answer is no

The answer is infact yes. If you have a post 2001 car and you have it converted to LPG you can send details to the DVLA and have it re-registered as an alternative fuel car. With this you get a nominal reduction in road tax.
