Sorry if this is perhaps the wrong area, thought you guys (and gals) may be better asking.
I'm building up a large collection of photographs now, and want to know if there's any good software out there that kinda organises photos based on tags.
For example I've a load of my dogs, but at various places, beach, woods, etc, etc, and while I've got a good memory where I can 'roughly' remember that a particular photo was taken at a particular time of my life, it would be nice to group them all in some system.
The other issue is that I've got about 2000+ photos all in one directory which is taking an age to produce thumbnails for, and again would be handy if there was some way of automatically organising these photos into say month/year - can't imagine I'd be able to do it via 'tags' as a photo could have multiple tags and could go in multiple directories.
Any suggestions please?
