Soreen Fruit Malt Loaf

I discovered these yesterday after seeing a few people eat them. They are absolutely delicious! I was quite annoyed when I dropped half of the loaf onto the floor and had to throw it away

Just love the chewiness!

Anyone else like them?

I buy the sliced ones where possible. I tend to end up squashing it when I have to slice my own.

That's how I eat it too if I don't squash it whilst cutting.

I love it.

Squeeze it until it is shaped like a turd. It looks just like the real thing. Leve it on the ground somewhere where people will see it, and when plenty of people are looking, walk over, pick it up and eat it.

I did that at work a couple of years ago and the reception was interesting to say the least.

They do a pre-sliced version. :eek:

Why did no one inform me of this before? I'm not generally in favour of pre-cut/packaged things like pre-grated cheese but I can actually see a reason for pre-cut Soreen, I think you've just made my night, thank you.

Yeah Malt Loaf is great. I too eat it with butter and also sometimes have issues with squashing it while cutting.

It's lovely with butter (not marg) if you don't mangle it while cutting it. Let the knife do the work.

Another comedy classic is to fill a hot water bottle with cold soup (big soup preferably) and place it inside a large jumper you are wearing. At the dinner table, pretend to vomit and squeeze the hot water bottle onto your plate, then eat it in front of your guests

I keep on forgetting to buy this, I've not had it for years.

Thick slices with butter on and a cup of tea = legendary.
