Hi everyone

My 2006 Blue Fiesta ST was stolen yesterday (25th March) from Cowley Avenue in Greenhithe, Kent (near the station and not far from Bluewater). It was taken some time between 8am and approx 5.30pm. I have all the keys (that i'm aware of anyway - remote and the blue chip one). Scum must have put it onto a lorry and just driven away somewhere!

Reg is GJ56 RYV

Performance Blue ST - No stripes. Only mods are a k&n57i and a kenwood stereo. (Apologies for the size of the pics)

I would be really grateful if everyone in the South East particularly London and Kent can keep an eye out. I think its either been stolen to order or its going to just be stripped for parts :( I checked around the local area last nite to see if it had been moved somewhere but no luck.

If anyone has any details, please contact xxxxxxx. Please help by getting the info out to other forums. As you can probably guess, im gutted! Any help will be really appreciated.

That's awful, I hate to hear it.

Can 'normal' car thieves steal these new cars with alarm and immob. quite easily still, like in June 1962? Or do they have to be clever, and/or as suggested smash in, alarm off, plonk onto low loader and drive away to get it looked at by other idiots?
I remember getting my 306 with it's cat 1 thing and thinking "crikey nobody can steal this baby" or similar. Obviously I realised after 2 seconds of using my brain thing that this simply isnt true.

Was talking about this with someone yesterday, we both came to the conclusion if our cars were ever stolen we wouldn't want to see them again.

It will be Fez ST number 200000 of 100000000 so you will get another one :)

No matter how good an alarm may be, you can still cut the power too it and load the car on a flatbed. You could do it in broad daylight and people would just assume it had no tax or was illegally parked.

yup plenty tealeaves running around with 7 1/2 tonners with a hi-ab it seems getting all too common these days

What are your reasons for this? As long as my car wasn't damaged i'd happily have it back rather than claim on insurance...

you have phoned police right? i bet they gave you a incident number and that's it?

its probably already in pieces on ebay.:(

Police have been aware of it since about 7pm yesterday, but no sightings or reports of it :( Been passed onto the local police now so i think i've just gotta sit tight with it.

Im pretty certain it wont have been driven anywhere so if its found and isnt damaged I would definately take it back rather than all the hassle of insurance!

Stolen to strip or to export at a guess, doubt you will see it again, well you might find the shell but that's it.

Get onto the insurance ASAP, you don't want to find yourself 10k out of pocket cause they decided you didn't inform them in time.

Loads of scrotes in Essex that would nick a car like this and try to flog it on.

Once they've stolen the car (let's assume flatbed), how do they get round the immobiliser? Are Fords particularly weak in that area? For example, is there a simple way to bypass the immobiliser?

How much is a Tracker these days?

Probably a little irrational, but I wouldn't want it back incase it was badly ragged from cold and has unforseen engine damage. That aside I just don't like the idea of driving it after its been broken into and stolen by some *****.
