Hey guys

Been using my 4GB flash drive without problems for a while now...

Used it with windows Vista the other day for the first time and it asked me to format it, Now its gone from 4GB to 2GB.

Is there anyway I can reverse this?

It's currently formatted in FAT32.

Thanks in advance.

You didnt buy it from a popular online auction site did you?

Brought it from OcUK a few months ago.

Its a Flash Voyager 4GB stick.

I've formatted it to NTFS but it still only see's 1.96GB =/

Basically I phoned Dell the other day and I got asked to install this app to the Flash drive as they forgot the disk, Vista asked me to format it now it won't see over 1.96GB no matter what format its in be it FAT/FAT32/NTFS:(

Since there so cheap now I might just buy a 8GB version from OcUK.

Pain in the arse really lol, Got a 3GB file here I'd like to transfer to another laptop and it won't fit on my stick:(

Try going to Disk Management (right-click Computer, select manage, Disk management) Can you resize / delete the partitions on the flash drive there?

maybe it was compressed before the format ? i dont really know anything about flash drives.
its just a stab in the dark
