If you take that Tweaktown review as gospel, then its an upgrade from the 3870 X2, its even an upgrade from the 9800 GX2 as well, as according to them its even faster than that.:D

As timing would have it, I'm for once in a good position this month, so it's going to be GX2 (possibly quad) or SLI's GTX's for me. Right now I have zilch, integrated Intel something or other.

I think It will be interesting to see how Tri SLI'd 9800gtx's scales and fares against Quad GX2's. Looking at the FiringSquad review below where they compare TriSLI'd Ultra's against Quad GX2's, it seems to be swings and roundabouts.

I wonder if this will apply also to TriSLI'd 9800GTX's. Or will the potential overclockability of the 9800GTX and nvidia's claim about scaling in SLI give the GTX a very big advantage over quad GX2's. Or will the lack of a 384bit bus and only 512meg ram hurt it and cause low minimum framerates at high res with 4XAA as HardOCP seems to think is the case with the GX2's in Quad, thereby keeping the Tri SLI Ultras in topish position. Though we only have HardOCP's word to go on, as other reviews seem to show the opposite. Strange this only popped up in the HardOCP GX2/Quad review, as I don't remember SLI'd GTS's or GT's having an issue. Canned v Realworld benches again ?
