The biggest ass whopping you ever received?

When I first got my 530i I pulled up next to a Saxo VTR ready to show him that basically, 90bhp is rubbish. Lights went green, DSC off and...

the Saxo dissapeared whilst I sat at the mildly damp traffic lights slowly creeping off the line with far too much wheelspin.

I was the bomb.

I see a RS4 on a regualr basis and a DB9 which I see every once in a while and both have crushed me utterly on more than one occasion in my 182.

Going to work i see quite a few S5's / RS4's / AMV8's / one of two Ferrari's etc but it pointless playing with that sort of stuff, unless you have an equal car!

I remember getting annhiliated in my standard (at the time) Pulsar GTI-R.

Decided to race a 4.2L V8 360Bhp TVR Cerbera from the tolls on the Forth Road Bridge. :(

I rarely race but i was suprised once by a Pug 106 Gti with a large exhaust back when I had the golf v5.

from a standing start at lights he slowly pulled away from me up a motorway sliproad, I got a long side him and we waved a freindly exchange to each other.. i've been scared of small citycars since :o

Trust me, he isn't.

Neither is mine...scares me silly when he drives me places...your typical 'old man' drives a Rover 216GSI on an H plate and I'm sure he shouldn't have a licence...he's like 80 or something though. :p

I've never been surprised that someone has screamed past me...mostly due to my cars being old and slow.
Do love it though when I'm driving along and bikes come up behind, I pull in a bit and they scream on past. :D

On the other side of the asswhopping...I was driving my girlfriend's previous car (1.2 Clio - K&N filter just slapped on the carbs) and a SLK was right up my bum through a 30 limit whilst I sat at 30 in 3rd, got to where it changes to two lanes and 60 limit, I dropped it to 2nd and the SLK looked like it stood still...why tailgate if you then don't try to overtake that person. :D - Obviously if the person had been able to drive I'd have been left for dead at the point it changes to two lanes from one. :p

106 - egging me on, i couldn't handle getting bet by a 106. So on to the dual carrigeway and boom this thing was off! Stayed about 3 -4 car lengths right up untill 60;) untill the obvious happened and he ran out of 1.6 power.

Me in clio versus ferrari 575M....coming off the roundabouts on the Bristol ring road - he smoked me everytime, all 10 roundabouts :)

And yes I know he wasnt trying to race me, I was trying to race him without his knowledge and failing miserably

Did get a thumbs up as he left the last roundabout though :D

funniest one was a ferrari 360 challenge stradale in trafford park, absolutely tipping it down.

I was in the deo and he obviously saw or heard me trying to have a play....so he nailed it. Dunno if he remembed that the 360CS comes with semi slicks or what but he couldnt pull away from me, everytime he tried his rears just lit up on the crap roads around trafford park and the rear end was sliding all over the place. Sounded good though :D

most humbling 3 encounters, first was a new shape RS4.....with the reg plate RS04 BYE. Was on a very narrow country lane near burnley and was gunning it on a nice sunny day last year, nothing behind me in the rear view mirror. Came round a corner and there was an old boy on an old bike doing about 25. Waited for the next straight (about 10 seconds?) and looked behind about 4 seconds into the wait....an a4 was stuck to my bumper.....was a WTF moment :D

I over took this bike at full throttle, pulled back in, still full throttle, and this rs4 just shot past me without pulling back in, like i was stood completely still.

Second, a bmw 535D on the m66....i tried to chase it.........not a good idea. In gear acceleration on that think was just jaw dropping, from 60 to the limiter in 4th and it got about 15 car lengths on me lol

So I tried to get revenge and chase the next e60 i saw on the way home. This time, I chose a bloomin m5. Even quicker.

Ah well! :p

A 335 on the motorway left me a few months ago, was awesome.

A Supra TT was about 3 cars a head after to about 70, moved fast for such a boat, but when the round abouts came it didn't look so good and I was soon behind him... gave me the hazards and a flash when I turned off.

A G60 with a high boost turbo instead of a S/C beat me quite bad too after 80mph, it was still wheel spinning when changing gear in 3rd (by 4th he was long gone)

A starlet turbo with 230bhp once left me on a straight in my old 2l clio too, was very quick.

I had just had some engine work done to my car, so I thought it was the bees knees and that I had a 1000bhp drag car. Overtook a pretty standard looking Golf mk2 on a dual carrigeway just before coming to some red lights on a roundabout.

Thought i'd make it away from him with no problems.... how wrong was I :o He sat right behind me for a couple of minutes then shot off like I was in reverse and disappeared, found out later that it was running a 1.8T with silly power! My car never felt fast again after that... :(

On the way back from the ring in my wannabe M3 had a Ferrai in my sights, got side by side with him and i booted it, i saw him smile in my rear mirrior, then the roar as he went past at about 160MPH, I nearly did a sex wee.

(Wannabe M3 is 320 IM sport)

Can only think of one time, but dont do it often as only just got the resource to do it.

Was on the night I got the 220 I pulled of a roundabout with a car following me, very closely car had finally warmed up so thought lets drop it a few and get away from this fool. Well didnt really happen as unfortunately I couldnt see he was in an EVO6 :S oops. and he soon went past me when I moved over.

I got wasted in an old Volvo F12 HGV by a..................................

In the Sport, came against a classic turbo. If anyone knows the queensway tunnels in Birmingham, I was going through there at some speed, and he came flying past me, spat a little flame and carried on going. I was like ":( I need a turbo.."
